Production process of bungee cord

The production process of bungee cord varies slightly due to different materials, specifications, uses, etc., but the basic process is roughly the same. Here is a common bungee cord production process for you:

1. Raw material preparation

Elastic core material: Natural rubber, synthetic rubber (such as nitrile rubber, polyurethane) or elastic fiber (such as elastic rope) is usually used as the elastic core material.

Shell material: High-strength and wear-resistant materials such as polyester fiber and nylon are commonly used to protect the elastic core material and provide additional strength.

2. Preparation of elastic core material

Latex extrusion: Natural rubber latex is extruded through an extruder to form an elastic core wire.

Synthetic rubber extrusion: After mixing and plasticization, the synthetic rubber raw materials are extruded through an extruder.

Elastic fiber braiding: The elastic fiber is braided into a rope shape.

3. Outer braiding or covering

Braiding: High-strength fibers (such as polyester fibers) are braided into a tube, and then the elastic core material is inserted into the tube, and the tube mouth is sutured or hot-melted.

Coating: Put the elastic core material into the extruder, and extrude the outer skin material at the same time to coat the core material.

4. Length cutting

Cut the produced bungee rope into the required length according to the product specifications.

5. End treatment

Heat sealing: Heat and melt the rope end to make it closed to prevent loosening.

Braided sleeve: Put a braided sleeve on the rope end and sew or hot-melt it to enhance the strength.

Connection accessories installation: Install metal hooks, rings and other connection accessories on the rope end as needed.

6. Quality inspection

Appearance inspection: Check whether the product appearance is smooth and flawless.

Tensile test: Test the tensile strength, elastic recovery rate and other performance indicators of the product.

Wear test: Test the wear resistance of the product.

Aging test: Test the performance changes of the product under high temperature, low temperature, light and other environments.

7. Packaging

Package the qualified products and affix labels with product specifications, models, production date and other information.

Factors affecting the performance of bungee cords

Material selection: The elasticity, strength, wear resistance and other properties of different materials vary greatly, which directly affects the quality of bungee cords.

Production process: The refinement of the production process has a direct impact on the quality of the product.

Use environment: The use environment of the bungee cord (such as temperature, humidity, chemicals) will affect its service life.

It should be noted that bungee cords, as safety protection products, have extremely high quality requirements. During the production process, production and testing must be strictly carried out in accordance with relevant standards to ensure the safety and reliability of the product.
